I haven't quite felt up to doing a proper show lately (see preceding post) so I thought I'd do an improper show in the interim: three hours of uninterrupted genre-defying synthetic music!

I loaded tunes by everyone in the Sat-5 family into the player and set it on random.

The artists get no recognition if I don't do announcements and a playlist, but most artists' primary goal is to create and their secondary goal is for their creation to be heard. Plus, anyone who loves this 3-hour treat will listen to other Sat-5 shows, and most of the tunes on this show appear on past hosted shows. Others will (hopefully) be featured on future shows. So there.

Tomorrow I visit the stem cell doc in Chicago to prepare for final phase treatment of leukemia.

On a happier note, I hope, I caved to my wife's urging and ordered the new Polivoks Filter offered by Elta. It uses the original Polivoks filter chip and has cool features like CV and expression pedal control of cutoff. It'll give me the world's nastiest wah pedal!

I've loved the Polivoks since hearing Train, Twist and Strict Machine by Goldfrapp. Some of the Polivoks demo videos will give you chills.

UPDATE: The Polivoks filter sounds OK with Microbrute, Reface DX and Microkorg but it sounds truly amazing with the CZ-101. It's like they were made for each other.
