camelot 1983 - Casio MT-65 and Cutec 4-track cassette recorder

I accidentally invented AEJOTZ music and made a one-hour cassette album that I gave to all my friends, family and fans of my guitar-based music. The response was unanimous: "Don't quit your guitar job." Broke my heart.

electric cake 2011 - Microkorg, Casio CZ-101

Circa 2000 I divorced my guitar. Stereolab kept reminding me of my AEJOTZ music and I missed it. Summer of 2011 I bought a used Microkorg, a used CZ-101 and a used digital recorder. AEJOTZ rides again!

voyager 2012 - Microkorg

In 2012 I deliberately did everything on Microkorg only, despite loving my CZ and having added a Micron (which I despised).

stroll 2013 - MK, CZ, Microsampler

I traded the Micron for a Microsampler, which became my drum machine and the quantizer for all my MIDI boards.

metropolis x 2014 - Microbrute, Microsampler, MK, CZ-101

Not a prolific year. Couldn't make up my mind about the Microbrute. Traded it for a Microkorg XL and immediately regretted it. XL must mean "Xtra Lite." Hated it.

doodle-oodle-ooh 2015 - Microbrute, Microsampler, MK

Traded MK XL for another Microbrute. The MB's step sequencer became one of my favorite tools.

indigo 2016 - MK, MB/Werkstatt

The 'Brute now has a Moog ladder filter, courtesy of a slaved Werkstatt. My rig feels very complete now. That feeling won't last long. I'm a gizmo junkie.
